Terms of Service
These terms govern using Otority.
Last updated September 25, 2026
What Otority Is
Otority helps businesses manage and pay their workforce, including contractors, employees, and service providers, across African markets, and helps registered African service-provider businesses receive international client payments. Otority works with licensed financial partners, including Stripe, to move money. Otority isn't a bank and doesn't hold funds outside of what these partners process on our behalf.
Who Can Use Otority
Manage Workforce: any business managing or paying Contractors, Employees, or Service Providers through the platform.
Receive Payments: registered companies receiving international payment through Otority. Individuals invoicing under their own name aren't eligible for this side of the platform; see our company-only requirement on the Receive Payments page.
You must be able to enter a binding agreement to use Otority, and the information you give us, business registration, banking details, worker records, must be accurate.
Fees
Fees are set out on our Pricing page and may change with notice. Using Otority means agreeing to the fees in effect at the time of each transaction.
Your Responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of who you're paying or who's paying you, for meeting your own legal and tax obligations in your jurisdiction, and for the underlying work, goods, or services a payment relates to. Otority moves the money, it isn't a party to the agreement between you and whoever you're paying or being paid by.
What Otority Isn't Responsible For
Otority isn't responsible for disputes about the quality, delivery, or accuracy of goods or services a payment is for. That's between the paying business and the person or company being paid. Otority's role is limited to processing the payment itself.
Changes and Termination
We may update these terms and will post the current version here. Continued use of Otority after a change means you accept the update. We can suspend or close an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe involves fraud, misuse, or risk to the platform.
Governing Law
Governing law and jurisdiction are to be finalized.
Otority is a brand of Digitalzooks LLC, a US registered entity.
