How Otority collects, uses, shares, and protects information.
Last updated September 25, 2026
What We Collect
Business details for Companies and Service Providers, including registration information and banking details. Personal details for individual contractors and employees being paid, including name, payout details, and basic documentation needed to process payments. Business and contact details for service providers being paid are also collected as needed to process payments. Payer details when someone pays a Service Provider through Otority, including name and payment method information.
How We Use It
To process payments, keep accurate records, verify accounts (including confirming a Service Provider is a registered company), meet our own legal and compliance obligations, and communicate with you about your account.
Who We Share It With
Stripe and other licensed financial partners, to actually move money. Banking partners where required to complete a payment. Regulators or authorities where we're legally required to. We don't sell personal or business data.
How We Protect It
We rely on our financial partners' security standards for payment data, and we limit who inside Otority can access account information to what's needed to do their job.
Your Rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and in most cases ask us to delete it, though some records need to be kept for legal or compliance reasons even after an account closes.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and note when it was last updated.
