Receive Payments

The retainer is recurring. The payment should not be a recurring problem.

Your registered African agency works with clients in the US and abroad. Give them a straightforward way to pay by card each billing cycle, without setting up your own US entity.

A great client relationship can turn into a monthly collection exercise.

The work is ongoing. Your team delivers the campaign, the design or the strategy, and the next invoice goes out. But the payment process starts from scratch again.

Someone on the client side needs fresh instructions for a cross-border transfer. Another person handles the payment this month. You follow up instead of moving to the next piece of work. When the money is late, you are carrying that uncertainty into your own team's plans.

The same friction, again

A recurring invoice should be familiar, not a new explanation every month.

Awkward follow-ups

Chasing payment can take attention away from the relationship you worked to build.

Planning gets harder

An uncertain collection date makes it harder to plan your own commitments.

Keep the conversation about the work.

Share an Otority payment link with your international client. They pay by card, processed via Stripe. You can use the same link in later billing cycles, see the received funds, and choose to hold the balance or move it to your local bank account. This is a straightforward way to collect, not an automatic subscription or a promise that clients always pay on time.

Let the retainer repeat. Not the payment explanation.

Hold or move your funds

See the received balance, then hold it or move it to your local bank account.

Know what receiving costs.

For registered African agencies receiving card payments from US and international clients. Otority charges a flat 8% receiving fee with no cap. Moving received funds to your own local bank account has no additional fee; holding a balance is free.

You can split the receiving fee with your client. Your own share cannot drop below 3%.
